Information about e-visa to Sri Lanka

The eTA to Sri Lanka is an e-visa that allows you to enter the country. To get this e-visa, you just have to fill the application form which you can find online.

You will also need a valid passport, which has to be a valid minimum of 6 months from the date of entry. You can also choose if you want to get a tourist visa or the business one.

Each one allows you to enter the country twice and to stay up to 30 days. Important to say is the fact that both entries have to take place within these 30 days.

You can apply for the e-visa three months before your journey, but as soon as it gets approved, it is valid for six months, and within this half a year you can enter Sri Lanka.

The eTA number will be automatically assigned to your passport number, that means that you don’t have to print the eTA confirmation out, you just have to show your passport on the border.
